Mia Elena

That is my beautiful neice and brother!!!! Mia Elena was born on Dec 17, 2007 at 8:42am weighing in at 9lbs and 3oz and is 20 1/2 inches long!!! She is healthy and both parents are doing great!!!! More pictures to come!!!!

Update

Just wanted to let everyone know Happy Thanksgiving...Travis and I spent a quiet Turkey Day at home. We hung out and ate way too much and watched football. A perfect day for us!!!! We still can't believe it is almost December and that means baseball season is about to start!!!! But we are both doing well. Travis has been going to camps almost every weekend in Nov and has another camp next weekend...We are very excited that Katie and Landon and Nolan are coming to visit on the 2nd. 2 full years of not visiting them, we are very happy they are coming in for a few days!!!! So much to catch up on!!!! We will take lots of pictures...
Hope everyone is doing well...we miss you all!!!!
Oh and the countdown begins for Mia's arrival!!!! Only a few weeks left...can't wait to meet her!!!!

J O B

Just wanted everyone to know that I finally got a job!!!! I will be working at Christopher Newport University in the Registrar's Office starting on Nov. 5th! I am super excited and get to end the distance between Travis and me!!! I think he's excited too, no more tv dinners!!!! Also Katie and Landon will be coming to visit at the end of November. We are super happy that they are stopping by on their journey to South Carolina. It's definitely been too long since our last visit with them. I will keep you posted...Hopefully for more pictures...the census is pictures of our area in Portsmouth...maybe that will be my adventure this weekend. Travis will be working a baseball camp every weekend in November so I will be a little lonely in the new area. But at least I am there!!! Until then....

All Moved In!!!

Crazy enough we are #12!!!! This is one of Travis' numbers!!! I am going back this next weekend to unpack boxes so I will take more pictures of our cute apartment all set up....hopefully!!! Hope everyone is doing good!!!

OH GREAT NEWS!! We found out that Landon (Travis' brother) and Katie are being stationed in South Carolina which is only 8 hours away!!! YEAH!!!! It will be nice to have family near by!!! Hope all is well!!!

It's Moving Time!!!

Hey all!!! This weekend is moving time!!! We are packing up the UHAUL and moving into our apartment!!! Travis has been staying there this week and he says its perfect for us...until he met our Gas Stove!!!! So we will see what happens when I get there! :)

I will for sure take lots of pictures this weekend whether Travis likes it or not!!! So stay posted and pray that we make it the whole weekend without killing each other while moving up to the 3rd floor!!!! Until then...

Connecticut Trip

Mom and I went to Connecticut for Valerie's and Mia's Baby Shower. We stayed at a quaint Bed and Breakfast and had a blast with Josh and Valerie and Valerie's lovely Italian family.

Update

Hey all!!! Just wanted to send out another update!!! Seems that we are going to be moving the first weekend of October!!! I wish we could move sooner but since I will be proctoring the LSAT exam this weekend at HSC it would be too much!!! Plus Travis has been working really hard at ODU, they had their walk-on tryouts this past weekend. Yesterday was his first day at the YMCA and he was glad it was over!!! I must say I don't think I would be happy to be working 5:30am either!! :O He will be working there part time, 3 mornings a week and he gets to wear a snazzy purple shirt!!! I can't wait to see that on him!!!
On the job hunt...I am still sending out my resume and looking for a job that really suits me... but who knows...its a tough world!!! I sometimes wish we were still in college without all that responsibility stuff!!! YUCK!!! But I hope that this gives a little more insight on what's going on with us!!! I will update you soon....

FIRST TIME!

Well its my first time at this so bear with me!! Travis and I are starting a new chapter in life. Since we moved to Farmville, VA from Kansas City in 2005 we are on a path that I never thought we would be on. He coached baseball at Hampden-Sydney College for 2 years and now he is coaching at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA!!! He is absolutely loving it and now we just found an apartment there in Portsmouth, VA. Things have been a blur the last month but now I can start this and keep everyone informed on what's going on!! I am currently still in Farmville trying to get a job lined up before I make the big move to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area. Well that's my first blog ever...I will keep you informed on what's next and hopefully within the next few weeks I can post some pictures...Once I figure out how to do so!!! :) Until then....
